Many middle aged people and seniors think that a hip fracture can lead to serious problems such as never being able to walk again. How do hip fractures happen?

It is widely known that bones are stronger as long as they are used. When we hit old age, we think that well, it is out time to take a break and rest. That is true, but what is also true is the fact that older adults still need their workout and if it is done daily, the risks of breaking a hip lower significantly.
Another thing you can do is to pay good attention to your diet. There is one way in which you can strengthen your bones and that is by increasing your vitamin D and calcium intakes. This way you protect your bones and you make them stronger and you also lower your risk of breaking a hip and not be able to recover from it. Anyone can recover from a hip fracture as long as they are willing to try.
