A study carried on older adults has shown true progress on people who drank blueberry juice daily, their scores on memory and learning increasing with 20%.

Other foods for improving memory

Fish should not be missing from your meals if you want to have a good memory. It contains polyunsaturated fats and omega-3s that are the main brain constitutors. Tuna, salmon, herring and mackerel are the best sources of polyunsaturated fats that will not contribute to the bad cholesterol. They enhance the brain activity and also improve your concentration powers.

Brain health is aided by vitamin B12 and lamb loin contains the greatest amount of this vitamin. Iron truly improves brain health and eating lamb loin at least once a week will add it to your system.

Whole grains are also a useful addition for a good memory. They mainly decrease the risk of suffering of diabetes, a disease that will lower brain function. Whole wheat breads and pastas and also popcorn and oatmeal will successfully substitute the need of whole grains, simultaneously decreasing the level of cholesterol in your body.

Olive oil and flax oil are extremely high in antioxidants. They increase the blood flow therefore allowing more oxygen to reach the brain. The extra virgin olive oil is the best on the market and is closer to the natural form, still preserving the essential substances.
