Disadvantages of being a vegan

Some experts believe that animal fats are necessary for the human organism. They say that saturated fats coming from animals are the main elements that keep the body and especially the heart in good condition. That is why many children who are given butter and full-fat milk have a smaller chance of having asthma than those who usually eat margarine and reduced-fat milk.

Vegans usually lack important nutrients such as vitamin B12, proteins, iron, zinc, calcium and vitamin D and riboflavin. Doctors say that a diet based on plants is not enough and humans need meat to provide the body with the necessary substances.

If you don’t know for sure whether or not to become a vegan, keep in mind that the most important thing in a diet is to be balanced and not to harm your body. A very good vegan diet that is well calculated from the nutritional point of view will certainly be benefic.
