Master Cleanse or the Detox Lemonade Diet
Even if it is a very tough diet, many Hollywood stars use it and they claim that it is more than effective.
The lemonade diet must be kept for at least 4-5 days. During this period of time, you must replace food with a special lemonade: in a large glass pour 300 ml of water, two spoons of organic type B maple syrup (available in bio stores), two tea spoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice and a pinch of cayenne pepper. This drink will be your only food during the diet. If necessary, you can also use a laxative tea without sugar.
It is a method of detoxification and slimming which mimics the prehistoric man’s lifestyle. According to those who promote the diet, the body is generally prepared to pass through short periods of starvation, followed by copious meals.
The detox diet asks you to have regular meals until 6 o’clock in the evening and then not to eat anything until 6 o’clock p.m. the next day. You must alternate the days in which you eat normally with those of starvation. The 24 hours of starvation help you to lose weight, provided that you eat unprocessed, clean products with no sugar during the days in which you can eat normally.
Raw Food Detox Diet
Being a milder diet of detoxification, it may be kept for a longer period of time and its effects will be really visible. The diet requires you to eat only raw foods, unprocessed vegetables, nuts and fruits. You should choose the organic variants to make sure that your diet is completely devoid of toxins. The only drinks allowed are : water, tea, fruit and vegetables juices.
The Liquid Detox Diet
This is another tough diet, which always has good results. For seven days, you must drink just homemade fruit or vegetables juices. If you feel weak during this period, you are allowed to eat a fruit or a vegetable as long as they are raw. Spices, sugar or oil are forbidden.
